Located on the Atlantic coast, near Saint-Nazaire (6km) and Pornichet (7km), you’ll enjoy l’Eve campsite with its direct access to the beach. This access is completely safe: a passage through a tunnel under the road is at your disposal to safely cross the road from the campsite to the Courance beach, only 100m away from the campsite and very much enjoyed by the surfers.
You’ll be charmed by this picturesque and very typically French town, with its lovely church, shops and the Jean Bart theatre. You also have the possibility to enjoy the wonderful castle along the beach with a direct view to the Noirmoutier isle.
Brighten your stay at Saint-Marc-sur-Mer with local leisure activities
Are you a nature lover? You won’t be disappointed, enjoy long walks along the coast, relax on the beach and in the Jardin des plantes (The Plants Garden) (5km from Saint-Nazaire). You can also discover one of the first regional natural parks in France: the Briere park (25km – Saint-Joachim).
Are you more of a ‘sports’ fan? No problem, there is something for everyone: whether on land or sea. You will be spoilt for choice, you can enjoy riding a bike on the numerous cycle paths in the area, rollerblading in the skate park, or playing football on the sports field. Or people who have sea legs could have fun in the nautical base practicing sand yacht skills, surf, canoe kayak etc .
For the more curious among you, there is plenty to choose from : in Saint-Nazaire you can visit the submarine “l'Espadon”, famous shipyards (guided tour bus to see the construction of the ‘giants’ of the seas such as the Queen Mary), “l'Escal'Atlantique “(submarine base to discover the history of liners), visit the production and assembly workshops of Airbus (‘giants’ of the sky) ...
Be charmed by the Atlantic coast, La Baule, Pornic and Nantes
15km away from Saint-Marc, you’ll find the city of La Baule with its ‘full-of-life’ city centre, its beautiful casino, the international golf club and its parks.
You’ll find Pornic 35 km away from the campsite, a lovely little town with a lot of sandy coves, a casino, and even a cheese factory that you can visit and taste the famous cheese “le cure nantais”.
A little further afield, there is the city of Nantes 68km away. You can discover the castle of Anne de Bretagne, cobblestone streets that are full of the ‘hustle & bustle’ of life and happiness with its many bars, concerts and exhibitions… A “tour” of the greatest places of Nantes is available FREE, just follow the green line on the pavements.
Near Nantes, in the town of Trentemoult (68km from the campsite) which used to be a fishing village, you’ll be amazed by the colourful houses. In this charming and picturesque town, if you are lucky enough, you would be able to see the sail boats and rowing regattas.

Do you want to see something amazing? Meet the giant wooden Elephant of ‘Les Machines de I’ile’ (Machines of the Isle of Nantes) 68km from the campsite, in Nantes. If you are lucky you may have the chance to see the legendary dragon Long Ma.
